Design and landscaping

We design gardens for homes and other properties to suit your needs. During on-site consultations, we advise on groundworks, recommend a suitable garden concept and draw on our knowledge of plants to propose the right planting scheme. These discussions lead to a design that, when carefully implemented, brings lasting satisfaction to everyone who uses the garden.

We build gardens from our own designs or from plans supplied by you. After shaping the ground and bringing in soil, we plant mature trees and establish shrub and perennial beds. We create lawns both from seed and by laying turf. We also coordinate minor construction work, irrigation installation and garden features.

Once the landscaping is complete, we stay in touch and offer advice and garden maintenance in the years that follow.

Garden maintenance

We provide regular and one-off maintenance for all types of green spaces. Our regular service includes complete care for lawns, perennial and shrub planting, and ornamental and fruit trees. Our services include hedge trimming, tree pruning, hazardous tree removal, lawn renovation, and the collection and disposal of garden waste. We also restore established gardens with respect for their original design and local setting.

A garden changes throughout the year, and so do its needs. Regular, thoughtful care helps plants thrive, keeps planting balanced and preserves the character of the whole space. Working together over the long term allows us to get to know your garden and support its natural development. Our goal is not simply a tidy appearance, but a healthy garden where you feel at home in every season.

What our clients say

A garden with a wine cellar

“I would like to thank you for the wonderful collaboration on restoring my garden. Not only did you come up with brilliant new flower beds, but, most importantly, you approached the space as a whole, including its architectural features. The combination of brick, wood, steel, natural stone and carefully chosen plants is stunning, creating an atmosphere that is both calming and inspiring. Everyone who visits tells me they feel at ease here.”

A terrace transformed

“We would like to thank Mr Škopek and his entire team for their excellent work on the terrace at our apartment building. Despite difficult access, they professionally removed the old soil and brought in new soil. They thoroughly repaired the old concrete planters and recommended and installed suitable automatic irrigation. They carefully planted new plants with sun, shade and the changing seasons in mind. The whole process was quick and tidy. We are very happy with their reliability and the quality of their work. Thank you for the great collaboration — we warmly recommend them.”

A garden for a newly built home

“A garden is a living organism that is constantly evolving. We realise that without continuous, regular care it would not be what it is to us today. Pavel Škopek and his team not only created our garden, but also taught us how to care for it and, in the best sense, encouraged us to form a very strong bond with it. I can confidently recommend contacting him to anyone who would like even a small piece of their own garden. I am sure they will be as happy as we are.”

A garden with a sandstone retreat

“We originally contacted Dejvické zahrady simply to remove a dangerous tree. But Pavel Škopek’s approach to garden design interested us so much that we wanted to learn more and decided on more extensive changes based on his proposals. Refining the project together was a pleasure thanks to his creativity, deep understanding of garden design and empathy for our preferences. The company’s gardeners carried out the work with reliability, care and a high level of expertise. Thanks to these changes, our garden is now an oasis for rewarding gardening and active relaxation. Our heartfelt thanks to the whole Dejvické zahrady team.”

Drasty Monastery

“Friends recommended Pavel Škopek and his father several years ago when we were looking for a gardening company to help restore a farmyard in Drasty, east of Prague, where our community had decided to move from central Prague. The site is extensive: we are restoring several hectares of neglected land and turning it into a woodland park, a kitchen garden, an orchard, a meadow and more. We thank Mr Škopek for his personal and professional approach and are very pleased with his work.”

Restoring an established garden in Prague 6

“We wanted to rejuvenate the garden at our terraced house in keeping with the era when it was built — the 1920s. We are happy with the design, the work and the result: by preserving the beautiful old shrubs, we now have a garden that feels new while remaining true to the original planting.”

Regular maintenance at an apartment complex

“Mr Škopek and his gardening company have maintained the 9,000 m² Klausova grounds since 2014. Under his care, the grounds have become a thriving space where, at first glance and in every season, it is clear that an expert is looking after them. Deadlines are met, communication is always professional and, above all, the mood of his staff shows that they enjoy their work. I can recommend his company’s services without hesitation.”

An ever-changing garden

“Dejvické zahrady helped rejuvenate the existing garden in front of our house. The overgrown thuja trees along the fence, almost thirty years old, had seen better days. Pavel Škopek’s design and landscaping created modern, varied planting dominated by cherry laurels, which form a hedge and give our garden privacy. A long flower bed where almost nothing had grown for years was also transformed. Since Mr Škopek and his team worked on it, we have enjoyed flowers from spring through autumn. We particularly appreciate the quick implementation, as well as the follow-up care and prompt, helpful advice on maintaining individual plants. We love the variety and the constantly changing flowers and corners of our garden. All the plants are growing beautifully and their quality is clear. Coming home brings us joy every day. I wholeheartedly recommend Dejvické zahrady.”
